There are two areas that we are watching in the Tropics, one is Tropical Storm Erin in the Far Eastern Atlantic...the other closer to home. T.S. Erin will remain over the open waters of the Atlantic for the next week.
There is an area of low pressure over the Yucatan that is not looking that healthy at the moment. All the clouds and rain are stretched out from Belize through Cuba with most of the heavy rain over open waters. Some of this moisture brought us some rain on Thursday and could still bring us a few storms on Friday. NHC is giving it a moderate chance for development if it moves into the Gulf. Models aim it towards MX/TX border. The father it moves away from us, the drier we'll be.
