Series of Fronts Knocking Down Temps
Scattered showers are in the forecast for your mid-week forecast as a cold front moves through South Florida on Wednesday. Expect mostly cloudy skies and near normal daytime highs in the mid 70s. The norm is 74°.
Another front will clear out by the overnight hours on Wednesday. Behind this next front, expect cold air to move into South Florida as early morning temps drop to the low to mid 50s by Thursday morning. Daytime highs will warm up in the upper 60s with sunshine and speedy winds.
Another cooler blast is on the way with the coldest temps so far this winter season and year on Friday morning in the upper 40s to low 50s for most of South Florida. A Freeze Watch has been issued for the Glades and Hendry Counties from Thursday night until Friday morning. Temps could drop around 30° and feel colder due to high winds.
Into the weekend, expect a trend of chilly morning temps in the 40s and 50s with highs below normal in the 60s and low 70s under mostly sunny skies.
