Officials rescue 4 from overturned boat
HAULOVER INLET, Fla. (WSVN) -- Officials rescued four people from South Florida waters after their boat overturned.
According to life guards and the United States Coast Guard, the boat was in choppy waters off of 90th Street and Bay Drive. "The little kid that was out holding on to the board was screaming, he was screaming for help, but we, pretty much handled the situation," said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Lifeguard, Fernando Palomo.
One victim on board didn't think they were going to be saved as soon as they did. "I was thinking maybe we're going to be stranded on the boat for a long time," said Kenny Ballon.
According to officials, one adult and three children were rescued from the overturned 17-foot Boston Whaler. Tow Boat U.S. also assisted in the recovery of the boaters.
