Fishing boat sinks in South Florida waters

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A fishing boat sunk about three and a half miles off the coast of Haulover Beach Friday morning.

Coast Guard officials said a boater rescued the captain of the sinking vessel. Crews from the Coast Guard, a salvage company and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were called out to the scene.

No injuries have been reported. What caused the boat to sink remains under investigation.
