Wildfire threatens homes in Collier County
NAPLES, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say a wildfire east of Naples has grown to nearly 200 acres and damaged several homes.
Collier County emergency coordinator Jim von Rinteln says firefighters evacuated more than a hundred residents as a precaution during Thursday's blaze.
The fire has not been contained.
The cause of the fire is not known, but von Rinteln says fires are common when the weather is this dry.
