Boyfriend runs over girlfriend, crashes into Wal-mart
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (WSVN) -- A woman is recovering after her boyfriend intentionally ran her over with his pickup truck at a Wal-mart parking lot Friday.
Police said Edgardo Acosta repeatedly rammed his girlfriend's mini-van at the superstore's parking lot along the 1800 block of Pines Boulevard around 6:15 p.m. When the victimized motorist tried to escape her vehicle, the truck's driver ran over her and crashed his pickup into the retailer's garden center.
Authorities arrested Acosta, who now sits at the Broward County Jail with no bond.
Paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition.
