Fire breaks out at Orange Bowl

Fire breaks out at Orange Bowl

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Fire officials are investigating a fire that broke out at the Orange Bowl in Little Havana.

Miami Fire Rescue quickly extinguished the flames at Northwest Third Street and 16th Avenue around 3:20 Wednesday morning.

The Orange Bowl has been under demolition since earlier this year.

According to authorities, debris in the lower part of the stadium may caught on fire. They are still investigating what started the blaze.

No injuries were reported.

The site is now the proposed location for the Florida Marlins new stadium, which is schedueld to open for 2011's opening season.
