South Florida experiences first February cold front
MIAMI (WSVN) -- A cold front has moved across South Florida Wednesday morning and officials are warning residents to take proper precautions as temperatures are expected to dip into the 30s.
Temperatures will continue to drop through Thursday, and the morning is expected to be the coldest morning in two months. The chilly weather will start with lows in the 40s and daytime highs in the middle 60s.
Officials urge people to use the four "P"s during the cold weather. Protect people, protect plants, protect pets and protect property by using space heaters properly.
Weather officials say the weather will start to warm up by Friday afternoon with temperatures in the 70s.
