BSO deputy shot in Pompano Beach; condition not yet known

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A Broward County Sheriff's deputy has been shot in Pompano Beach, and a sheriff's spokesman says he was in critical condition.

A sheriff's office report says the deputy is being transported to North Broward Medical Center. The report says the deputy's gun and van are missing.
