LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died. She was 48.

4-year-old on life support returns home

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A little girl on life support left the hospital after nearly a month and returned home, where her family will now care for her.

A wish has come true for a devout Jewish family of brain-dead 4-year-old Aliza Schwab. "It's unbelievable," said Esther Schwab. "I have no words to describe it. It's happiness. I'm speechless."

Doctors say Schwab has been on life support at Jackson Memorial Hospital for six weeks after she almost drowned in her family's pool. Several doctors declared Schwab brain dead, and say, by Florida law, the girl had to be taken off life support. Schwab's family refused to abide by that law and say they believe for as long as her heart still beats, she continues to hold life.

Schwab will remain on a ventilator, feeding tube, and she will undergo rigorous physical and occupational therapy.

Her Facebook prayer group has over 3,000 members.
