Two people burn to death inside vehicle

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Two people are dead after a fiery chain-reaction crash in Northwest Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade Police and Fire Rescue responded to reports of an accident at Northwest 54th Street and 32nd Avenue just before 8 p.m. where two people burnt to death inside a vehicle.

Police say a driver of a sport utility vehicle traveling southbound on Northwest 32nd Avenue rear-ended a sedan, sending it flying about 200 feet and crashing into a parked car.

The second crash caused the two vehicles to go up in flames. Firefighters arrived and tried to cut their way into the raging sedan to save the two people inside but were unsuccessful. Rescue crews transported the woman driving the SUV to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

It is still unknown whether the driver will face any charges.
