Police in pursuit of hit and run driver
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are in pursuit of a silver Lexus southbound on the Florida Turnpike with a driver who may have been involved in a hit and run.
Police began the pursuit northbound on Interstate 95. When the driver crossed into Broward County, Miami-Dade police stopped their pursuit. Florida Highway Patrol took over the chase when the driver got onto the Florida Turnpike.
Apparently this was the result of a hit-and-run in Northwest Miami-Dade at Northwest 17th Street and 7th Avenue.
