Nova Southeastern University to build biotech lab
MIAMI (AP) -- Nova Southeastern University is planning to construct a new 70 million dollar biotech lab.
School officials say the 200-thousand square-foot Center for Collaborative Research at the Davie campus will be home to one of the largest wet labs in the state.
Research scientists will be able to work with chemicals, perform animal testing and develop new medications.
The university hopes to begin new graduate programs geared toward expanding research within the next year.
The University of Miami also has a similar facility in the works.
