Expensive exhibit recovered by resident
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (WSVN) - A stolen exhibit has been recovered, however, police are still searching for the perpetrators
Fairchild Tropical Garden's Chihuly glass sculpture exhibit was recovered after a resident found the damaged reeds in a vacant lot located near the Garden.
The red glass reeds are created by artist Dale Chihuly and are worth between $8,000 to $10,000. According to police, when the exhibit was stolen April 11th, it was replaced with red painted PVC pipes.
Similar reeds were stolen from Fairchild in December but were later recovered as well.
