Smash-and-grab jewelry store robbery caught on camera
DAVIE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are hoping that footage from a security camera will lead to the arrest of some brazen jewel theives.
The suspects smashed the front window of a jewelry store and made off with thousands of dollars worth of merchandise in an early morning robbery Saturday.
Davie Police say the incident took place at the Lakeside Jewelry Exchange located at 5810 South University Drive, around 5:30 a.m. Authorities say the suspects smashed through the store's front window and made off with an estimated $200,000 of jewelry in a matter of minutes.
The store's surveillance camera caught the entire crime on tape and police are now reviewing it as the investigation continues.
