Pots on the stove -- yummy scents in the air -- dinner on the table. Whether you grew up eating Latin food or you are just a Latin food lover. It's now as easy as uno-dos-tres to make it at home.

Thanks to Nueva Cocina Gourment Foods your favorite Latin dishes are now low on cooking time but high on flavor.

Founder Nueva Cocina Foods Corina Mascaro: "One of the ideas behind Nueva Cocina is it brings a lot of these great products to the market, but in a way that is simple, takes very little time and products are really good for you."

This new line of Latin seasonings and mixes features traditional favorites like the ground beef dish "picadillo" arroz con pollo or chicken and rice and the classic frijoles negros or black beans. You can also get newer food fusions like ginger pumpkin soup guaranteed to add some spice to any dinner table.

Corina Mascaro and Celeste De Armas are the masterminds behind the meals.

Food Taster: "I thought it was very good, very good for a packaged product. Tasted homemade."

Matter of fact these food industry vets came up with the idea because of too many missed home cooked meals.

Founder Nueva Cocina Foods Celeste De Armas: "These products are perfect for those who are time pressed, or simply don't know how to make this kind of cuisine."

And now for consumers like Dionette Kalkhofer the Nueva Cocina Gourmet line is a hit in their cocina.

Dionette Kalkhofer: "It brought me back to my grandmother's kitchen. It was like I was having in it in Cuba."

Nueva Cocina foods is sold at Whole Foods and Publix Supermarkets across South Florida.
