Pretty in Pink

When you think of fall colors, browns, berries and blacks come to mind. But this month, if you want to make a statement and support a good cause, you've got to be pretty in pink. Shireen Sandoval shows us why in tonight's Fashion Forward.

Hilary Swank is wearing the key to the cure for Saks Fifth Avenue. The men of wisteria lane are hoping to raise awareness and 10 million dollars through lee jeans. This month, celebrities are lending their star power and sporting plenty of pink in the fight against breast cancer.

Erin Londos, Anna Bella Boutique: Our favorite reason pink is important is obviously breast cancer, with October being breast cancer awareness month, is a big motivating factor for what we do at Anna Bella.

If you thought pink is only for spring, think again. In October, it takes on a double meaning and if you wear it right, it can look great.

Erin: A lot of people think it's a fashion don't and it really is a fashion do. If you know what you're doing, you're wearing pink this fall.

From a velvet, military style jacket…to a pretty pink shrug, throw a pop of pink into your wardrobe. Just not too much or you could burst your own bubble.

Erin: Pink is a great way to spice up your outfit, but you definitely don't want to wear it head to toe, it's a little too much for fall, just a little layering piece under a suit or a great t-shirt with a great pair of jeans is great.

Okay ladies, now how can you go wrong. Look great and support a good cause, but not only does wearing pink raise awareness. This month, many stores are offering a portion of their proceeds to support the cause.

At Bloomingdale’s in Aventura, there's something for everyone. From blenders to bras to lip gloss.

Melissa Goff, Macy's: Everyone needs to be involved in the fight against breast cancer.

While at Macy's at Dadeland Mall, you also could say they're "beary" supportive of the cause. Match this limited edition Gund with your own pink hoodie...or try something sportier. Plus you can shop and get a checkup at the same time thanks to the Baptist mammography center.

Just remember from suits... To sneakers, it's never been more important to think pink.

.Melissa: Add a little pink to your wardrobe this October and show everyone you are supportive of a cause.
