Chief Meteorologist Phil Ferro
Phil Ferro is the Chief Meteorologist of the 7 News weather team. He anchors a 5 person staff responsible for providing the day to day weather forecasts for all South Florida, keeping you in tune to severe weather alerts, and helping you track storms during hurricane season.
Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Phil has covered South Florida weather and hurricanes for over a decade. He started back in 1995, when he was the lead forecaster at the local Telemundo affiliate, providing the latest storm information to South Florida's Spanish speaking community. He joined 7News in 2005, guiding us through the most active hurricane season on record. Full Bio
